A Long Lunch Done Right

Superette Luncheon

Great conversations, shared laughs and a celebration of everything we love about bringing people together. The Superette Luncheon delivered effortless summer vibes, elevated by wine, sunshine, and a stunning setting at Te Arai.

The Day

The Superette Luncheon was a long lunch done exactly how we like it. Friends, staff and customers gathered together for a day of connection, indulgence and good energy. Set against the sunlit tennis courts at Te Arai, the scene was instantly relaxed yet elevated, a perfect backdrop for a summer gathering.

Hosting the day was wine expert Dave Nash, who guided guests through a carefully curated selection of wines. From stories behind each pour to thoughtful pairings with the dishes, Dave made the experience both educational and enjoyable. Highlights included a few exceptional wines from The Landing, which added a touch of local flair to the luncheon.

Music and vibes were provided by Taye Williams, whose sound perfectly complemented the golden-hour atmosphere. From smooth melodies to light, summer rhythms, the music carried the energy throughout the afternoon, keeping conversations flowing and smiles plentiful.

The food, crafted by Chef Zayn, head chef at Oceans Restaurant, paired beautifully with the wines and setting. Fresh, seasonal and elegantly presented, each dish added to the day’s elevated yet relaxed vibe. Guests enjoyed flavours that matched the sunshine and mood, creating a menu that was as memorable as the company.

From start to finish, the Superette Luncheon celebrated the joy of bringing people together over good food, fine wine, and great company. A huge thank you to Te Arai Links for hosting us in such a stunning setting, and to Archibald & Shorter for partnering with us and transporting us in style.
