Sun, Snow & Sidewalks with

Sera Cruickshank

As part of our Sun, Snow & Sidewalks campaign, we sat down with Sera Cruickshank, the influential personality and owner of The Diamond Shop in Ponsonby. We delved into her daily life in the city, exploring her must-have essentials and style tips for navigating the urban landscape.

Tell us a little about yourself – what keeps you busy? What do you do?

I'm a mum of two little kids (2 and 5) as well as the owner of a jewellery store so this certainly keeps me more busy on a daily basis! Once I've got the kids off to daycare and school in the mornings I will head into my store in Ponsonby for a day of jewellery designing and working with our lovely clients to create beautiful, timeless pieces of jewellery.

Walk us through your average routine from start to finish….

I am an early riser so usually I will be up by 5am if not before. The day always starts with a coffee, getting the kids dressed, fed and school lunches made etc. Then time for me to race around, shower and get myself ready for the gym. Once the kids are dropped at school/daycare I will spend an hour in the gym which is my sanctuary before I get ready for work and head to my store in Ponsonby for the day - often running out to meet friends for lunch or to attend an event too! The days often roll past extremely fast, and before I know it I am heading to pick up the kids and get them home for dinner and bed.

Do you have any routine non-negotiables?

Body movement, so I will always make time to fit in a workout almost daily most weeks. I have also been making time to walk down the beach or catch the sunrise. A long skincare routine daily is also non-negotiable as well as using my LED mask every second day.

What are you most looking forward to?

I have quite a few exciting travel plans coming up, but I also absolutely love Christmas and as summer rolls around and we can spend the evenings having dinner on the beach! On the business side I am most excited about launching our website that we have poured so much time and energy into.

Describe your style in three words…

Classic, Neutral , Minimalistic

Who or what do you look to for styling inspiration?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley would be the most accurate representation of what I look for as style inspo. She has a very classic, elegant taste - everything is neutral and effortless!

Do you have any current favourites from Superette right now?

Where to start! I practically live in my Superette Black Blazer paired with the Anine Bing Gavin Jeans. A few things on my wishlist would be the AB Nina Heels, the Superette Coven Cardi and the Effie Kats Sanela Coat.
