A Day on the Green
Superette Golf Day 2025:
The first annual Superette Golf Day started in full swing. A day where good vibes, great outfits, and a few seriously impressive drives came together under the sun. From the first tee-off to the final putt, the energy was high, the competition was friendly, and the Superette community showed up in style.
The Day
Held at Waitematā Golf Course, this year’s event brought together friends, familiar faces, and a few of New Zealand’s best-known names. Among the guests hitting the course were Israel Adesanya, Eugene Bareman, Shaun Johnson, Wayde Egan, Chanel Harris-Tavita, and Bryce Casey.
With every hole featuring a unique activation, the course buzzed with excitement, from ice-cold refreshments and music to spontaneous challenges and plenty of banter between holes.
A huge congratulations to our standout players on the day:
First Place: Team Kakapo, consisting of James Ashwin, Adam Patterson, Dr. Cameron Proctor, & Hayden McCallum
Second Place: The Fairway Finders, consisting of Bryce Casey, Chris Morrison, Terenzo Bozzone, & Kirk Penny
Style was just as important as swing, of course, and our best dressed absolutely delivered.
Best Dressed Male: Bill Speedy
Best Dressed Female: Maddi Hill-Lovett
Hole Highlights:
Each sponsor brought something special to the fairway, creating memorable moments all round.
Flush Sponsored Hole: Closest to the Pin winner – Grace Rokela, who stunned the crowd with a hole in one! An unforgettable highlight of the day.
Afterpay Sponsored Hole: Speed Golf Challenge
– Fastest Team: Team Autex - winners of a lunch at Te Arai Links
– Slowest Team: The Fairway Finders - winners of an 18-hole session at Waitematā Golf Course
Stanley Activation: Multiple winners took home the cult-favourite Stanley Cooler Bag
Superette Hole: Competitors faced a fun challenge with our giant Superette bag on the fairway, deciding whether to aim for the bag or the green. Everyone who hit the bag scored a free item from our on-course store, The Clubhouse, making for some exciting swings and happy winners!
Archibald & Shorter North Shore Hole: The highlight everyone was buzzing about. A chance to win a brand-new 2025 Range Rover Velar with a hole-in-one. While no one was able to claim the prize, a few players came incredibly close, making for some tense and thrilling moments.
Raffle Highlight: Walk Without Fear VIP Experience
This year, we were proud to partner with the Walk Without Fear Trust, raising over $5,000 for their mission to end the coward punch. The raffle winner, Toby Wilkinson, took home the Walk Without Fear VIP Experience, an unforgettable prize while supporting an incredible cause. He won the opportunity to bring a mate along and play 12 holes of golf with Israel Adesanya and Eugene Bareman.
Our Partners
A massive thank you to our incredible sponsors who made the day possible, from hole activations and prizes to keeping everyone fuelled and hydrated.
Afterpay, Archibald And Shorter North Shore, Stanley, Moet Hennessy, Sawmill Brewing, Ebisu Britomart, Flush Golf Club, Lumo Digital Outdoor, Scapegrace Distillery, Antipodes Water, Walk Without Fear Trust and Malbon Golf.
The Superette Golf Day was more than just a round, it was a celebration of community, connection, and a little friendly competition. To everyone who joined us, competed, and brought the energy, thank you for making it a day to remember.
See you on the green next year.
