Meet The rad Dads:

Danny Parke

To the Dads, Grandads, Uncles and Father Figures with so much to give. We’re here to celebrate you this Father’s Day.

What’s the best thing about being a dad?
I’m a new dad (8 months in!) but so far this is my take on being a parent.

Walking in the door, or heading to her cot in the morning and getting that massive smile is the ultimate. My girl is such a character so it also usually includes a new noise she’s learnt that’s hilarious.
Also having a full Ute for coffee dates is also epic. Our retriever, Rocket, is so stoked to have a pal in the back to lick on the ride in. Secondly being able to share this chapter with my partner Chels & the insane amount of respect I have for my parents and how much more I appreciate them - I was so lucky.

What’s the funniest or weirdest thing you’ve experienced since becoming a dad?
what the f*ck did I do with all my time before this!?

How would your family, friends, or crew describe your style?
Always a slight sporty vibe to everything, quality casual wear with limited colours (blacks, whites, greys most of the time) and sunglasses, always.

If you could pass on one piece of wisdom (serious or silly), what would it be?
Stack good days as much as you can. Don’t worry so much about chasing perfect ones.

What’s your ultimate dad uniform, the outfit you reach for without thinking? Do you have one?
White sneaks, active shorts, box T and sunglasses.

Who’s your ultimate ‘rad dad’ icon? (Could be someone famous, or someone in your own life.)
My old man. Still pumps out quick half marathons and works as a doctor on a recuse helicopter. That’s tough to beat.

And finally... Do you consider yourself to be a Rad Dad?
Any dad who turns up for their kids and keeps themself healthy is a rad dad in my books - so yes. However rent is due everyday!
